Support a project in Barbara and Eddies' memory.
We have started a literacy project in The Leprosy Mission Hospital in Kolkota, the hospital which Dad founded many years ago. Leprosy patients who are having reconstructive surgery there are inpatients for up to six weeks and approximately 45% are not literate . On our last visit there, we thought what a wondeful opportunity it would be to provide teachers to improve their reading and writing skills.in Mum and Dads' memory!
At present we are funding two teachers, who are giving patients lessons through the week. We are hoping to be able to fund further projects in other hospitals around India in the future.
